Recount Writing-At the Park

WALT use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.
At the park On a hot sunny Saturday me and my family went to the park in Kaikohe. The first thing me and my brother did when we got to the park was to grab out our bikes. Next we had races. I won and my brother lost. We had more races while my sister was playing on the Park. The next thing we did was we played on the half pipe. When we were trying to climb up we slid down. The ramp got hot. Then we played in the bowl. We found a trolley in it. When we got in the trolley. It was so hard to get out It took 2 minutes to get out. Finally we got out. After that me and my sister and my brother played on the park. My sister played on the monkey bars while me and my brother played on the swings. We went clock ways. Finally we went to play tag on the field. My sister was in for 1 minute. Me and my brother were fast.

Recount writing:On my 9th bithday

On my 9th birthday. On Monday after school me and my family and my cousins and my Aunty Milly and Uncle Kevin went to King wah in Paihia. After school we went to Kingwah for my 9th birthday. When we got to King Wah we had to walk from the carpark to the restaurant. I like going to Kingwah because of the ice-cream. It was cold as ice and sweet as honey. The ice-cream there is like the ice-cream at MacDonald’s. The food at King Wah is yummier than anything. After that we went for a walk. When we went for a walk Rio’s mum got angry because Rio grabbed 2 lollipops and then we had to chase him. Only my cousin chased him because he was fast. Next we went home and played card games.

At Sharon’s birthday
On a hot sunny Saturday afternoon, me and my family and my Aunts, Uncles and some other cousins went down to my cousins 1st birthday at my Nana's house in Tautoro. The first thing we did when we got there was we went to say hello to everyone. I gave everyone a big hug when I went to say hello. After saying hello to everyone we went to play with the puppies while my mum and dad and my Aunt and my Uncles were busy. They were making the food. I was excited to see the puppies. There were all sorts of colours on the puppies. There were black puppies, there were gold puppies with black spots on them. They looked so cute and cuddly. Next we had a race I thought I was going to lose because my cousins always cheated. We had to go to the gate but I was the only one that went to the gate but I still won because I bolted to the finish line. Later on the cake was ready. We had cake and ice-cream. The cake had marshmallows. They were all delicious. After we had the cake and ice-cream, it was time for the presents to be opened. My cousin was very excited to see his presents. He got a toy truck and a toy motorcycle and bouncy balls. After that we had fizzy drinks. The fizzy drinks were as cold as ice. I had a red one. I enjoyed Sharron’s birthday because it was fun and cool to be with my family.

Ratu 25th Pipiri 2019

Going to the park.

On a hot sunny Saturday me and my sister and my Aunty went to the park in Kaikohe.

The first thing we did when we got to the park was to ride the scooters. My scooter was red and my sister’s scooter was purple. 

First we went on the half pipe.

The half pipe was fun. 

Then my sister went to play on the park. 

After that we went to get a frozen-coke with ice-cream on top. The ice-cream and the frozen-coke 

was cold as ice. 

Next we went back to the park.

When we got back to the park I asked my Aunty if I could go in the bowl but she said that I could not go in the bowl because she thought that I would hurt myself.

So I just played on the park with my sister.

I played on the swing.

It was fun swinging on the swings.

When it went high it felt like you were in a rocket.

 Playing at the park was fun.

Pinwheel.

WAL about rotational symmetry.

What we found out was when you spin the pinwheel it holds it’s symmetry.

My class made pinwheels.

If you make a small pinwheel it will spin faster than the big windmill.

And a bigger pinwheel got stuck on the handle because it was too floppy.

If you put a fan in the front of the pinwheel it spins faster.

If you use a bead for a spacer the pinwheel won’t get stuck on the handle.
