Recount writing:On my 9th bithday

On my 9th birthday. On Monday after school me and my family and my cousins and my Aunty Milly and Uncle Kevin went to King wah in Paihia. After school we went to Kingwah for my 9th birthday. When we got to King Wah we had to walk from the carpark to the restaurant. I like going to Kingwah because of the ice-cream. It was cold as ice and sweet as honey. The ice-cream there is like the ice-cream at MacDonald’s. The food at King Wah is yummier than anything. After that we went for a walk. When we went for a walk Rio’s mum got angry because Rio grabbed 2 lollipops and then we had to chase him. Only my cousin chased him because he was fast. Next we went home and played card games.

At Sharon’s birthday
On a hot sunny Saturday afternoon, me and my family and my Aunts, Uncles and some other cousins went down to my cousins 1st birthday at my Nana's house in Tautoro. The first thing we did when we got there was we went to say hello to everyone. I gave everyone a big hug when I went to say hello. After saying hello to everyone we went to play with the puppies while my mum and dad and my Aunt and my Uncles were busy. They were making the food. I was excited to see the puppies. There were all sorts of colours on the puppies. There were black puppies, there were gold puppies with black spots on them. They looked so cute and cuddly. Next we had a race I thought I was going to lose because my cousins always cheated. We had to go to the gate but I was the only one that went to the gate but I still won because I bolted to the finish line. Later on the cake was ready. We had cake and ice-cream. The cake had marshmallows. They were all delicious. After we had the cake and ice-cream, it was time for the presents to be opened. My cousin was very excited to see his presents. He got a toy truck and a toy motorcycle and bouncy balls. After that we had fizzy drinks. The fizzy drinks were as cold as ice. I had a red one. I enjoyed Sharron’s birthday because it was fun and cool to be with my family.
