At Jimmy Jack's.
On a nice sunny Saturday me and my family and my nan and papa went to Jimmy Jack's in Paihia. First when we went to Paihia me and my sister were so excited because they had wordfind at Jimmy Jack's. My brother could not do one because he was 12. You have to be 9 or under. My Dad helped me and my Mum helped my sister. Then we ordered and there was a kid's menu and me and my sister got chicken nuggets and chips. My sister did not want her nuggets and I did not want my chips. So she ate my chips and I ate her nuggets. Then my Mum and Dad and brother and papa and my nana got their order. They got big pieces of chicken and shrimps. When we got the food we got the drinks. Me and my sister got fizzy drinks. The fizzy drinks were cold and my brother and my Dad and papa and Mum and my nana got water. When me and my sister finished we did our word find. There were 20 words I had 5 more to do and my sister had 6 more. Then when me and my sister had finished our word find my brother and my Mum and Dad and nana and papa finished their kai. Then we went to get an ice-cream. I got cookies and cream and my sister got a chocolate ice-cream and my brother got an ice-cream that tasted like coffee and my Mum and Dad and nana and my papa got a coffee then we went across the road to take a photo of me, my sister and my Mum, my Dad and brother under a big tree. My mum took a photo of my brother first. When we got to my nan and papa, me and my brother got another ice-cream.

Football in NZ. Football is the number-one team sport in the world. It’s played by about 250 million people! First reason why football is so popular in NZ is because many people believe that football players don’t get as many injuries as those who play other contact sports. Second reason why football is so popular here in NZ is because a lot of Kiwi kids play football because it’s seen as a safe sport. Another reason why football is so popular here in NZ is because In November 2017 men’s team the All whites played peru. For hundreds of years, people played games that involved kicking balls around. So in Conclusion that's why football is so popular in NZ.

At the beach in Paihia.

On a hot sunny Saturday me and my family
went in our van to the beach in Paihia for a swim.

The first thing we did when we got there
was my sister had to put on her togs
but me and my brother just went straight into the water.
When I touched the water it was cold as ice.
Then me and my brother had a water fight.
When I squirted him I also tackled him.

My brother was angry with me so
I jumped out and stayed on the hot sand.

Me and my sister made a sand castle.

I enjoyed helping my sister build a sand castle.

It was nice. Next we went fishing.
My dad had a big red fishing rod.
My Mum had a blue one and me,
my sister had a yellow one and
my brother had a black one.

My Dad and Mum caught a snapper
but me, my sister and my brother caught nothing.
We were feeling sad so then we went to get some crabs.
We caught 30. We gave my papa 12 and we gave Uncle 10.

It was an amazing day at the beach with my family.

Recount Writing-At the Pools

28.3.19

On a sunny Sunday me and my family went to Whangarei pool’s for a swim. My sister and my Mum stayed in the cold pool because there were 3 pools, two warm ones and a pool that was cold as ice.

First me, my brother and my Dad had a race to the deep end. My Dad won. I came 2nd, my brother came last.

I could touch the ground then me and me and my brother got a doughnut floaty thing.

Next my Mum and my sister came beside my Dad and my brother and me.

The pool was halved. There was a piece of thick string across the pool. My sister had to stay in the shallow end because she could not touch the ground.

After that my Dad and brother and I went down a big slide. It went outside and then it came back inside. Then my Mum came to the big slide. My sister could not come up to the slide because you have to be 7 or over and my sister is only 6 years old. When my Dad and my brother and mum got to the bottom, my mum went by my sister. After that we went to the hot pool because we were too cold.

Finally when my mum wanted to get out me and my brother did not want to get out but my dad told us to get out so we did. Then we got ready to go home.

We had a fantastic day at the pools.

In our Tautoro School community.

There are to many people on the playground
so we need a bigger playground for the junior’s it’s to crowded.

Why is a bigger playground needed by our
Tautoro School community.

Firstly why a bigger playground is needed
is because our old playground is to small for the juniors.

Secondly why a bigger playground is needed
is because there are to many kids playing on
it at play time and lunch time.
A new playground will be much bigger for them to play in.

Lastly why a bigger playground is needed is because  
there are accidents and a bigger playground will stop
all of the accidents because there's more room.

So in conclusion these are all the reason’s why a bigger playground
is needed by our Tautoro School community.
