Symmetry

WALT create a pattern with one line of symmetry. 

My butterfly will look the same (identical) on both sides.

We can check by using a mirror.

What I did was I folded the paper down the middle and cut it in to a shape of half a butterfly but I am still colouring it in.

On Friday after school me and my family went to the beach in Paihia. When we got to Paihia we went to the beach for a swim. First when we got in to the beach me and my sister had a race to the water. I won then my Mum and Dad came in to the water. We stayed in there for 6 minutes. Me and my sister had a race to my dad and I won. Then we went to get some pipi and kutai. Next we went back to the car. My mum and my Dad cooked them up and we all got 1 can each of fanta. My Dad was the first to drink his can. Me and my sister carved them. My brother stayed at my Nana and Papa’s house. Next we went to the Lily Pond and we stayed there for 10 minutes. My sister went running in and when I got there I was running in too. Then my Mum came in. Then my Dad came in and my Dad put me on his shoulders and I jumped off. After that we went back up to the car and me and my sister had the rest of our mountain dew. My Mum had the rest of her Fanta then we went to the beach to go fishing. My Dad caught a king fish and my Mum caught a king fish. My Mum and Dad’s fish were long. Me and my sister got a snapper.Then we ate my sisters fish. I didn’t eat any because I don’t like fish I think It’s yucky. It’s only my Sister and brother and my Mum and Dad that like fish. I would never try fish.

On a nice sunny Saturday me and my family and my nan and papa went to Jimmy Jack's in Paihia. First when we went to Paihia me and my sister were so excited because they had wordfind at Jimmy Jack's. My brother could not do one because he was 12. You have to be 9 or under. My Dad helped me and my Mum helped my sister. Then we ordered and there was a kid's menu and me and my sister got chicken nuggets and chips. My sister did not want her nuggets and I did not want my chips. So she ate my chips and I ate her nuggets. Then my Mum and Dad and brother and papa and my nana got their order. They got big pieces of chicken and shrimps. When we got the food we got the drinks. Me and my sister got fizzy drinks. The fizzy drinks were cold and my brother and my Dad and papa and Mum and my nana got water. When me and my sister finished we did our word find. There were 20 words I had 5 more to do and my sister had 6 more. Then when me and my sister had finished our word find my brother and my Mum and Dad and nana and papa finished their kai. Then we went to get an ice-cream. I got cookies and cream and my sister got a chocolate ice-cream and my brother got an ice-cream that tasted like coffee and my Mum and Dad and nana and my papa got a coffee then we went across the road to take a photo of me, my sister and my Mum, my Dad and brother under a big tree. My mum took a photo of my brother first. When we got to my nan and papa, me and my brother got another ice-cream.

Football in NZ. Football is the number-one team sport in the world. It’s played by about 250 million people! First reason why football is so popular in NZ is because many people believe that football players don’t get as many injuries as those who play other contact sports. Second reason why football is so popular here in NZ is because a lot of Kiwi kids play football because it’s seen as a safe sport. Another reason why football is so popular here in NZ is because In November 2017 men’s team the All whites played peru. For hundreds of years, people played games that involved kicking balls around. So in Conclusion that's why football is so popular in NZ.

At the beach in Paihia.

On a hot sunny Saturday me and my family
went in our van to the beach in Paihia for a swim.

The first thing we did when we got there
was my sister had to put on her togs
but me and my brother just went straight into the water.
When I touched the water it was cold as ice.
Then me and my brother had a water fight.
When I squirted him I also tackled him.

My brother was angry with me so
I jumped out and stayed on the hot sand.

Me and my sister made a sand castle.

I enjoyed helping my sister build a sand castle.

It was nice. Next we went fishing.
My dad had a big red fishing rod.
My Mum had a blue one and me,
my sister had a yellow one and
my brother had a black one.

My Dad and Mum caught a snapper
but me, my sister and my brother caught nothing.
We were feeling sad so then we went to get some crabs.
We caught 30. We gave my papa 12 and we gave Uncle 10.

It was an amazing day at the beach with my family.
